It ও That-এর বিবিধ প্রয়োগ

Who is that/he/she? ও লােকটা কে?
It's my friend. ও আমার বন্ধু।

It was not the correct answer. এটা ঠিক উত্তর ছিল না।
This is your book. It's me. এই বইটা তােমার। এইটা আমার।

She likes history. She says, “It's interesting.তার ইতিহাস ভাল লাগে। সে বলে, “ইতিহাস রুচিকর”।

Who is there? ওখানে কে ?
It's me. আমি।
Is it me you want? আমার সাথেই দেখা করতে চান ?
Was it not I who helped you? তােমায় যে সাহায্য করেছিল সেকি আমি নই ?
It was the happiest day of her life.দিনটি তার জীবনের সর্বাপেক্ষা সুখের ছিল।
Is it me you are calling? আপনি কি আমাকেই ডাকছেন ?*
It doesn't make any difference.এতে কিছু এসে যায় না।
It doesn't matter to me. আমার তাতে কোন কিছু এসে যায় না।

Both answers are correct. দুইটি উত্তরই সঠিক।
She is neither a student, nor a teacher. সে ছাত্রীও নয়, শিক্ষিকাও নয়।
None of the two prisoners are guilty. দুজন কয়েদির কেউই দোষী নয়।
There are many/a number of studerats in the class. ক্লাশে অনেক ছাত্র আছে।
There were two books on the table. টেবিলের উপর দুইটি পুস্তক ছিল।
There are ten mangoes in the basket./The basket contains ten
mangoes. ঝুড়িতে দশটি আম আছে।
Both Rajani and Meenakshi should work hard. রজনী আর মীনাক্ষী দুজনেরই পরিশ্রম করা উচিৎ।
My coat is not black. Your coat is not black either.আমার কোট কালাে নয়। তােমার কোটও কালাে নয়।
My shirt is white. Your shirt is white too. আমার শার্ট সাদা। তােমার শার্টও সাদা।

The scenery here is nice/beautiful/lovely. এখানকার দৃশ্য মনােরম।
We provided the blind with food./We gave food to the blind.আমরা অন্ধদের খাবার দিলাম ।
I have finished with two-thirds of this book. আমি এই বইটার দুই তৃতীয়াংশ শেষ করে ফেলেছি।
The imagistrate ordered for his arrest. ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট তার গ্রেপ্তারের আদেশ দিলেন।
When I go to Bombay, I'll see him.আমি যখন বম্বে যাব তখন তার সঙ্গে দেখা করব।
I have had my food/meals. আমার খাওয়া হয়ে গেছে।
I'm at the high school. আমি হাই স্কুলে পড়ি।
The Ganges is a river. গঙ্গা একটি নদী।

I am fortyfive. আমার বয়স পঁয়তাল্লিশ বছর।
I have a headache. আমার মাথা ধরেছে।

I am sure he is in the right/right.আমি নিশ্চিত যে সে ঠিকই করেছে।
I have given up painting. আমি ছবি অাঁকা ছেড়ে দিয়েছি।
Will you kindly untie/undo this knot? আপনি কি দয়া করে এই গিটটা খুলে দেবেন ?
We could do nothing but make noise. আমরা চেঁচামেচি করা ছাড়া কছুিই করতে পারিনি।

It, এই সর্বনাম [Pronoun, প্রােনাউন] টির অনেক রকম ব্যবহার আছে। যেমন –[1] শিশু বা নিম্নস্তরের প্রাণীর
জন্য - After dressing the wound of the dog, the doctor patted it and sent it home. জখমের চিকিৎসার পর
ডাক্তার কুকুরটির পিঠ থাবড়িয়ে তাকে তার বাড়ি পাঠিয়ে দিলেন।

As soon as the child saw it's mother, it jumped to her. শিশুটি নিজের মাকে দেখার সাথে লাফিয়ে তার মার কাছে গেল।
*[2] কোন Noun বা Pronoun এর ওপর বিশেষ দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ এর জন্য It was Gandhiji who started the Civil Disobedience Movement. গান্ধীজীই জন-অসহযােগ আন্দোলনের জন্মদাতা।
*[3] Verb এর 3rd person singular এর সাথে It is raining outside, বাইরে বৃষ্টি হচ্ছে।
*[4] Object এর রূপে children find it difficult to sit quiet. শিশুদের পক্ষে শান্ত হয়ে থাকা কষ্টকর।
[5] প্রথমে বলা বিষয়ের পুনরুত্থানের জন্য He was in the wrong and he realises it. তাঁর ভুল হয়েছিল এবং তিনি তা বুঝতে পেরেছেন। এই বাক্যে It এর ব্যবহার that he was in the wrong এর বদলে করা হয়েছে।

It অনেকরকম ভাবে ব্যবহার করা হয়। ভাল করে তার অভ্যাস করে নিন।
